HOW DO I START?
Contact us by email or through our facebook page to arrange your first free lesson.
You are also welcome to observe a lesson, see what it's all about, meet the team and have a chat.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Nothing at first!
We supply bokken ( a wooden sword) and obi (cotton belt) to beginners.
Clothing should be regular gym wear - tracksuit / jogging pants and t-shirt.Â
As you advance you will move onto using an Iaito ( blunt metal sword) and wearing the traditional Iaido 'Gi'.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We charge £30 per month or £10 per session.

We are a not for profit club - fees cover our running expenses

ARE YOU AFFILIATED?
The majority of our group have become General members of DNBK (Dai Nippon Butoku Kai) based in Kyoto, Japan.
Eventually, as a General Member it is possible to progress to be become a Certificated Member at YuDansha rank
